Overview
Are you a passionate leader committed to early childhood education? Oak Tree Learning Center, an academic-focused preschool dedicated to closing achievement gaps, is seeking a motivated Director-in-Training to grow into a Site Supervisor role. This opportunity is offered in partnership with San Bernardino Workforce Development and includes structured on-the-job training (OJT) to build expertise in center leadership, staff mentorship, and regulatory compliance.
As a Director-in-Training, you will learn to lead and mentor staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure the delivery of a high-quality curriculum that prepares children for success in school and life, while gaining deep knowledge of Title 22 and Title 5 regulations.

Responsibilities (OJT Learning Focus)

Learn to supervise, lead, and mentor teaching staff.

Gain experience overseeing daily center operations and activities.

Learn to manage budgets, prepare reports, and track center metrics.

Monitor and assess student and teacher progress under MAE for Pre-K and other assessment tools.

Collaborate with parents, staff, and administrators.

Ensure high-quality curriculum standards and safe, nurturing classrooms.

Develop knowledge and practical application of Title 22 and Title 5 regulations, including compliance, reporting, and documentation.

Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance leadership and operational skills.
Qualifications

Passion for early childhood education and leadership development.

Some experience in early childhood education preferred; prior supervisory experience is a plus but not required.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Willingness to learn and comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Title 22 and Title 5.

Ability to maintain accurate records and support program operations.

Commitment to working collaboratively with staff, families, and administrators.

Availability to be on-site during center operating hours.
