Job Overview
As a Teacher Assistant at Oak Tree Learning Centers, you’ll support the lead teacher in implementing our inclusive curriculum, maintaining a safe and enriching classroom environment, and building meaningful relationships with families.
Note on Requirements: Our programs are Title 22 compliant. While a permit is not required, we welcome applicants with experience in child care or early education.

Support lead teachers in delivering the MAE for Pre-K curriculum.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher in planning and preparing daily classroom activities.
-
Support children’s learning, social development, and emotional growth.
-
Help maintain a kind, respectful, and safe classroom environment.

Aid in the setup and cleanup of materials for lessons, crafts, and activities.
-
Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
-
Follow California Title 22 regulations, including cleaning and classroom safety standards.

Attend required meetings, training sessions, and in-service days.
Qualifications
-
Must be 18 years of age or older.
-
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
-
At least six months of experience in a licensed child care center or similar program (preferred).

Ability to complete 16 hours of health and safety training (required upon hire).

A desire to grow professionally in early childhood education.

Coursework in Early Childhood Education (preferred but not required).
