Welcome to our Healthy Learning Ecosystem
At Oak Tree Learning Center, we actively engage them in a "Learning by Doing" world. Guided by our innovative, research-backed MAE (Meaningful Assessment-ready Experiences) curriculum, we partner with working families to provide a full-day, full-year educational sanctuary.
We structure every program around giving your child the "roots" to feel secure, confident, and independent, alongside the strong academic "branches" they need to reach their full potential. From our youngest babies to our graduating elementary students, we turn daily play into measurable developmental milestones.

The 4 Core Pillars of Every Oak Tree Program
No matter which program your child enters, our curriculum guarantees focused development across four fundamental areas of lifelong growth:
-
Social Skills Development: From learning to feel secure in a childcare setting in infancy, to building respectful relationships with peers and teachers in grade school, we build children's confidence.
-
Emotional Intelligence: We help children navigate complex emotions, explore sharing, build self-awareness, and develop critical thinking skills.
-
Academic Excellence: Language Arts, Math, and Science milestones are achieved through active, engagement. By interacting directly with the world around them, students naturally absorb high-level concepts and enter their next school year well ahead of their peers.
-
Independence & Motor Skills: We build strong physical foundations, from gross motor milestones (rolling and sitting) to fine motor accuracy (holding utensils, writing) and crucial personal care practices like potty training.

Select your child's age group below to discover how we tailor our "Learning by Doing" philosophy for every developmental stage.
1. Infants - 6 to 18 months
Loving care and early developmental milestones for our youngest learners.
The Experience: A gentle, nurturing sanctuary built around secure attachments, vocal development (singing and talking), and early physical milestones like rolling and crawling.

2. Toddlers - age 2
Exploration, discovery, and active learning for curious minds.
The Experience: A high-energy environment focusing on expanding vocabulary, following simple commands, critical thinking, refining motor skills, and mastering independent potty training routines.
3. Transitional Kindergarten - ages 3-5
An advanced school-readiness program built to exceed state UPK standards.
The Experience: A stepping stone between preschool and elementary school. We combine collaborative, hands-on academics with reading literacy (sight words) and math foundations (counting, adding, subtracting) to ensure your child enters Grade 1 at the top of their class.

4. School-Age Care - grades K-5
Hands-on enrichment, transportation, and homework help, exclusively at our 40th Street campus.
The Experience: Built specifically for working parents. We offer safe daily transportation from local elementary schools, stress-free daily homework help, and interactive STEM/leadership projects like our student-run "Helping Hands" Community Closet.

Our Curriculum
Learning by Doing. Thinking by experiencing.
At Oak Tree, we believe that children don’t learn by sitting still, they learn by getting involved.
Our curriculum is built on the MAE framework (Meaningful Assessmentready Experiences), which transforms everyday activities into powerful educational milestones.
Whether it’s baking a pie to understand measurements or planting a garden to explore life cycles, we provide "something to do" that demands "something to think about." It’s a research-backed world where play is purposeful, and every experience is a step toward kindergarten readiness.

Your Oak Tree Community
Our One-of-a-kind Monthly Experiences
At Oak Tree, we bring community resources directly to you. Our school-wide Monthly Experiences blend educational themes with real-time visits from local partners - like medical providers, dental offices, Black Infant Health services, and local artists.
These events are designed for busy families, typically occurring during pickup hours so you can engage with neighborhood experts and celebrate your child’s community projects - such as food drives or local donations - without any added strain on your schedule.
