Note on Requirements: As a Title 22 center, we do not require teachers to have a permit, but we only consider candidates who have completed 12 Core ECE Units and can provide transcripts.

Responsibilities

  • Work individually and as a member of a tight-knit, supportive team.

  • Support student learning, social development, and emotional endurance.

  • Maintain kind, respectful, and safe emotional and physical environments.

  • Think quickly and creatively.

  • Follow California Title 22 regulations, including cleaning, planning, and classroom preparation.

  • Attend all required meetings, training, and in-services.
     

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

  • At least six months of work experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable program.

  • Completion of 16 hours of health and safety training.
     

Educational Requirements (Must have one of the following):

  1. A minimum of 12 ECE units or a degree in Early Childhood Education (including Core Courses: Child Growth and Development; Child, Family and Community; and Program/Curriculum).

  2. A current and valid CDA credential with appropriate age-level endorsement.

  3. A Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (Associate, Teacher, or Master permit).
